Travel Advisory
At BestTravelNetwork, we care about the safety, well-being, and travel experience of all our customers. This Travel Advisory aims to provide important information regarding travel conditions, local regulations, traffic laws, and current rental policies across the United States. We recommend all drivers and passengers review this information before starting their trip.
1. General Driving Requirements
All drivers must present a valid and current driver’s license at the time of picking up the vehicle. Foreign citizens must provide a valid passport and, in most cases, an International Driving Permit (IDP). The minimum age to rent a vehicle varies by state and provider, typically ranging between 21 and 25 years. Some providers may apply additional fees for young drivers under the age of 25.
2. Required Documentation
- Valid driver’s license issued by a recognized authority.
- Valid ID or passport.
- Credit or debit card under the reservation holder’s name for the security deposit.
- Printed or digital booking confirmation from BestTravelNetwork.
3. Traffic and Safety Regulations
Drivers must comply with all federal and state traffic laws. This includes obeying speed limits, traffic signs, mandatory seat belt usage, and local regulations regarding mobile device use. In some states, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs carries severe penalties, including immediate termination of the rental contract.
4. Weather and Road Conditions
The United States experiences a wide range of weather conditions that may affect driving. During winter months, some roads may require snow chains or be closed due to snowstorms. In southern regions, tropical storms or hurricanes can lead to temporary road closures. Customers are encouraged to check local weather conditions before starting their trip.
5. Driving Restrictions
Vehicles rented through BestTravelNetwork must be used exclusively within the continental United States, unless otherwise specified in the rental agreement. Driving the vehicle outside U.S. borders (e.g., to Canada or Mexico) without written authorization from the provider is strictly prohibited and may void the insurance coverage and incur additional charges.
6. Safe Travel Recommendations
- Avoid driving during extreme weather conditions or poor visibility.
- Do not leave valuables visible inside the vehicle.
- Plan your routes in advance using reliable GPS navigation.
- Get adequate rest before driving long distances.
- Observe local traffic signs and speed regulations.
- In case of emergency, contact local authorities immediately or reach out to our support team.
7. Fuel Policy
Each provider establishes its own fuel policy. Generally, the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level it had at the time of pickup. Failure to comply may result in additional refueling charges. Always review the rental contract for specific details before starting your trip.
8. Toll Roads and Fines
Many highways and express lanes in the U.S. use electronic toll systems. The driver is responsible for all toll charges, fines, and violations incurred during the rental period. If the provider receives notification of a violation after the vehicle is returned, your payment method will be automatically charged along with an administrative fee.
9. Roadside Emergencies
In case of an accident, breakdown, or medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately by dialing 911, and then notify your rental provider. BestTravelNetwork offers 24/7 support to guide you through the reporting process and coordinate with the respective provider.

11. Driver Responsibility
The customer and all authorized drivers are responsible for complying with all traffic laws and taking proper care of the rental vehicle. Any negligence, misuse, or reckless driving will be the sole responsibility of the driver and may result in penalties, loss of insurance coverage, or additional charges.
