1. What Are Post-Ticketing Fees?
These fees apply when a confirmed reservation requires additional management or adjustments after payment has been processed or the rental confirmation has been issued. Such fees cover administrative, technical, or coordination costs between the customer, the reservation system, and the car rental provider.
2. Common Situations That Generate Post-Ticketing Fees
- Date changes: modifying the pick-up or drop-off date.
- Location changes: altering the pick-up or drop-off point (e.g., switching airport or city).
- Vehicle type update: requesting a change in category or model after confirmation.
- Personal information corrections: adjusting name, license details, or contact information on an issued reservation.
- Re-issue requests: new confirmations generated due to changes made after the original reservation.
3. Standard Administrative Fees
Below are typical administrative charges that may apply depending on the type of request. Exact amounts may vary based on the rental provider and the complexity of the modification:
- Change of pick-up/drop-off date or time: up to $25 USD per request.
- Change of pick-up or return location: $30–$50 USD depending on distance or availability.
- Update of personal or driver details: administrative fee of $15 USD.
- Re-issue or contract modification after confirmation: $20 USD fee.
- Manual assistance via phone or email: $10–$25 USD depending on the request.
These fees cover processing costs, provider communication, document updates, and system maintenance.
4. Charges Imposed by the Rental Provider
Some rental providers may apply their own post-ticketing fees, especially in the following cases:
- Modifications or cancellations within a non-refundable period.
- Extension of the rental duration.
- Drop-off at a different location from the original reservation (one-way fee).
- Late return or return outside business hours.
These charges are set directly by the provider and will be communicated before processing any change. BestTravelNetwork does not control provider-specific fees determined by their own policies.
5. Fees for Cancellations After Confirmation
If a cancellation is requested after the booking has been confirmed or close to the pick-up date, refunds may be subject to an administrative deduction or a provider-imposed penalty. In such cases, the exact amount will be communicated before finalizing the cancellation.
6. Exceptions and Special Adjustments
BestTravelNetwork may waive post-ticketing fees in exceptional situations such as:
- Confirmed technical error in the original reservation.
- System malfunction or incorrect information attributable to the platform.
- Cancellations due to force majeure (e.g., airport closure, natural disaster, medical emergency).
7. Transparency Policy
All post-ticketing fees will be communicated in advance before being applied. Customers must explicitly approve any additional charges. BestTravelNetwork will never apply unauthorized or automatic fees without prior consent.
